January 25th, 2013

Dear R.E. Teacher / Chaplain,

Catholic Schools Week

The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2013 is Catholic Schools in the Community of Faith: Sharing the Good. Your schools should have received the Catholic Schools Week 2013 Resource Book and it’s also uploaded on our website. I have adapted the daily resources for use with data projectors and added additional resources on the Good Samaritan, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Aidan of Ferns, St. Brigid etc. On the Friday resources page you will also find an Inter-Faith service to use in your school. There is no shortage of excellent material to cover with R.E. classes and you may find them useful at other times of the year. I hope you find these I.T. based resources helpful and keep me informed of how your school is celebrating Catholic Schools Week this year.

Click on each of the days below to view extra resources to use with Post-Primary R.E. classes during Catholic Schools Week:

Monday, 28th January – How We Gather as a Church & St. Thomas Aquinas

Tuesday, 29th January – How We Pray Together

Wednesday, 30th January – How we encounter God in the Scriptures & St. Aidan of Ferns

Thursday, 31st January: How we participate in our community & St Don Bosco

Friday, 1st February: How we reach out to others of different faiths & St Brigid

Kind regards,

Gary
