Ember Faith Leadership Programme

What is Ember? The Ember Programme is a new faith leadership training programme for students at senior level in secondary schools. The students are trained to become mentors for incoming students at Junior Level and to be faith leaders in their schools. This pilot programme with five schools is coordinated by the Archdiocese of Dublin Education Secretariat and has been developed in partnership with the interdenominational Christian charity Scripture Union and with teachers from three schools in the Dublin Archdiocese. The first Ember Teams residential training took place in Ovoca Manor in Wicklow May 13th-15th 2013.

Survey of Parental Opinion - School Patronage

The Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn T.D., has published the results of primary school patronage surveys. Areas from the Dublin Diocese included in the survey were Celbridge, Dublin 6 - Harold’s Cross/Rathmines, Leixlip, Malahide, Palmerstown/Ballyfermot/Chapelizod, Portmarnock, Rush, Skerries, Wicklow.
