Dear R.E. Teacher / Chaplain,

I hope you had an enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day and long weekend. As term 2 comes to an end just a reminder below of some updated resources on our website. It is always good to get some feedback on how you are using the resources so please do get in touch or if you have any ideas how I can improve the supports on offer. During my visits to schools I have shared updated CD-ROMs filled with resources and if you would like to receive these resources please get in touch to arrange a visit to your school after Easter.

The Inaugural Mass of Pope Francis takes place this morning and you can watch it live here. Pope Francis has certainly made a very positive start to his pontificate and on our website I have added resources and classroom activities for students about Pope Francis. They include watching the slide show & answering 12 short questions, a printable wordsearch, resources on St. Francis of Assisi, a tweet/letter writing task and details about Pope Francis’ coat of arms. There are also links to other websites & a Pope Francis PowerPoint.

Next week is Holy Week and as schools will be closed it is a good idea to spend time this week focusing on the importance of the Easter celebrations. The videos from Busted Halo and Igniter Media especially the Follow video work very well in capturing the attention of students. You will also find a variety of other resources including PowerPoints, crosswords, handouts etc.

Kind regards,

Gary
